Sat 29 June – Sat 6 July 2019

Discover the character of God through the challenges and experiences of His creation.

Your week will include five mountain days scaling some of the highest peaks in the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. These hikes, though rewarding and uplifting, will potentially be physically and mentally demanding and so an appropriate level of fitness is required. It is also a great opportunity to learn and develop mountain skills such as navigation and route planning.

The goal of the week is to encounter Jesus through outdoor activities and Bible teaching, some of which will be delivered in the mountains. Also included is one overnight stay in a camping barn and an opportunity to experience the Honister Slate Mine ‘Via Ferrata Xtreme’.

Cristi, our Bible Teacher for the week, will be taking us through an encouraging teaching series called ‘Encountering God on the Boulevard of Broken Dreams’. We’ll explore how, despite the difficulty and pain that life often throws at us, we have a God who is with us and for us.
