What a joy it was to gather together last night, with many of you online from across the world joining with students, staff and volunteers on site to pray, worship and give thanks for God’s work at Capernwray and beyond.
The evening began with the exclusive premier of our brand new promotional video showcasing the Bible School programmes here at Capernwray. The finished version will be released very soon, so please do keep an eye out on our social media channels to see the final cut and share it with others.
We had a live interview with current student Laina about her Winter Bible School experience and a video message from Rio Vida, a fellow Torchbearers site in Spain. We even heard from previous students who were at that very moment embarking on an adventure joining a missions organisation overseas – what a privilege to pray for them together.
This week’s guest lecturer Charles Price shared a thought on prayer, sharing the story of a missionary whose commissioning he once attended. She had been drawn to pray that God would send workers to a region in India to reach people for the Gospel and years later discovered that God was in fact calling her to go and serve in that nation – she was the answer to those prayers! What a challenge for us to hear that the mobilising of God’s people, and the discerning of His will for our lives, can often start with our prayers. What are you praying for?
