As a voluntary worker you will join our fantastic international community and help our Bible School and holidays programme happen. When you are not working you can also get involved in our wide range of activities and join in with the Bible teaching and worship sessions. It’s an amazing opportunity for you to serve God and be richly blessed by Him at the same time.

You must have the right to work in the UK and be able to speak and understand English to a good level. International volunteers with a previous connection to Capernwray may be able to volunteer with us for up to 30 days under the Visitor route, but will need to pay our cost rate for accommodation and meals.

We offer three different opportunities for volunteering at Capernwray:

Serving and Leadership Training (SALT)

A residential gap year to grow deep and lead quietly.
Starts each September. Open to 18–29-year-olds who want to follow Jesus with their whole life. Not just the Sundays. All of it.

You’ll live on-site at Capernwray with a team from around the world.
You’ll serve. You’ll lead. You’ll find out what God’s placed in you.
This isn’t just for the future preacher. It’s for the quiet helper. The organiser. The one who’s willing to say yes.

You’ll clean, lead, plan, pray. And little by little, you’ll grow into who He’s shaping you to be.

If you’re applying from outside the UK, we can sponsor Charity Worker (Temporary Worker) Visas for eligible international volunteers.

Short term volunteering

Help our ministry and serve our guests for 1-10 weeks during any of our holiday programmes (New Year, Spring or Summer). You will be working in one or more of these Departments:

  • Guest team
  • Dining Hall team
  • Housekeeping team
  • Swimming Pool and Sports team
  • AV team
  • Beehive team
  • Gardens & Grounds team
  • Maintenance team
  • Admin team

Day Volunteer (Non-Residential)

We welcome volunteers who would like to give a day or two a week to serve at Capernwray, eg in the grounds, driving, or keeping the place beautiful.

There are so many life-giving opportunities as a volunteer to get involved with small groups, social events and lectures happening on site, worship nights, church opportunities and so much more. I have been so blessed to be surrounded by an incredible team of staff who care about each of us individually. They continually show me the heart of Christ and I have been very blessed to be mentored and guided by so many of them.
