Life as a voluntary worker

As a voluntary worker, your days at Capernwray will be full but also fulfilling, and often fun too.

As a voluntary worker, your days at Capernwray will be full but also fulfilling, and often fun too. We expect voluntary workers to contribute to essential parts of our life together, and gain many benefits from doing so.

As a Christian Bible School and Conference centre, we strive for unity, courtesy, respect and harmony within our staff.

While living and serving at Capernwray, you are expected to engage fully in all that Christian community life offers. There will be opportunities to participate in prayer meetings and Bible studies, community worship and to attend a local church. In addition, you will also be invited to join Bible School lectures and programme activities when feasible. A support programme specifically for our voluntary workers includes a weekly gathering,Bible study, day trips, family groups, as well as a designated prayer partner.

As a voluntary worker, you will receive meals and dormitory accommodation. You will benefit from a wonderful community of people, pastoral support and encouragement, and we’ll do all we can to make sure you gain as much as you give from your time at Capernwray.
