Bible Teaching

Revd Bryan Kerr will take us through Genesis 1–11, exploring ideas of origins of God’s big plan for us, of age and identity and how God will bring rescue. Bryan is originally from Northern Ireland where he served as a minster for over 20 years.

Tim Proudlove, Capernwray’s Dean of Male Students and former Orkney pastor will explore The Holy Spirit in John’s Gospel.

More about Bryan

Bryan Kerr has lived in South Cumbria since 2019 and is the incumbent of the parishes of Levens, Heversham and Milnthorpe. Originally from Northern Ireland, he was ordained in the Church of Ireland and served there for over twenty years. He has passion for getting Christians into the Bible and the Bible into Christians, and led annual Bible teaching workshops in Serbia for a number of years. He is a keen supporter of Liverpool FC and enjoys the challenge of a good Quiz Night.

Tim Proudlove

More about Tim

Tim works in pastoral care, teaching, and various other aspects of life at Capernwray. He’s spent much of his life in Scotland, but studied and worked in Canada for several years, and is married to Claudia, who is from Austria. Tim was originally a veterinary surgeon, but then changed vocation to work in church ministry, and most recently served for a decade as the lead pastor in a baptist church, before moving to Capernwray. Tim has degrees in veterinary science, and theology and biblical languages, and is currently working towards a PhD in philosophy. He loves football, reading, history, and spending time with his kids.
