An invitation to pray and partner
From 17 December to 16 January, we’re introducing Giving Month. During the last year, we have been asked a number of times to share the ministry’s areas of need, so that people are able to better support us both in prayer and specific gifts where they feel led.
As 2025 draws to a close, we’re grateful for God’s steady faithfulness. Students are still arriving with questions and a hunger to know Christ more deeply. Our holidays have been full of rich teaching, shared life, and moments.
We’re inviting you to pray with us about two areas where you might partner with us this Giving Month.
Caring for sustainable systems
Our borehole and biomass heating save £50,000 annually in running costs. These systems, along with our mains electrical supply, now require essential maintenance totalling approximately £40,000. This is about caring well for what’s been entrusted to us so these systems can continue serving students and guests for years to come.
Keeping Bible School accessible
We want to keep Bible School accessible to all, regardless of background and financial circumstances. In recent years, we’ve seen the number of student sponsorship requests grow, with finances increasingly a significant barrier. This year, we have supported 51 students at a cost of approximately £100,000, which has placed pressure on student sponsorship funds.
We don’t want finances to be the barrier that keeps someone from coming. Any gift toward student sponsorship will help us replenish this fund to ensure students can continue to come.
“Thank you for these 9 months and how you’ve grown me, inspired me, challenged me, changed me, and cared for me. I will be leaving here a very different person from when I came.”

Your Part
Prayer support
We are so grateful for the many people who faithfully lift up our ministry in prayer throughout the year. Your prayer support is, in itself, a precious gift to this ministry.
This is our first Giving Month, and we’re approaching it as an invitation: pray and see if the Lord leads you to give toward utilities, maintenance or student sponsorship. If He does, we’d be deeply grateful.
We trust God’s provision. We believe He’ll provide what’s needed in His timing. And we’re thankful for your partnership, your prayers, and your heart for what happens here.
How to give
Your gift helps us care for sustainable systems that keep costs down and honour the environment. And it helps keep Bible School accessible to students who need financial help.

FAQ
Where exactly does my gift go?
Gifts support both areas of need: maintaining our sustainable infrastructure and supporting students who need financial help.
If there is a specific area you’d like to give to, please let us know by email (mike.gregory@capernwray.org). Otherwise we allocate funds where they’re most needed.
Can I give monthly instead of a one-time gift?
Yes! We’d be honoured to have you join as a monthly partner.
Will I receive updates on how gifts were used?
Yes. We’ll share an update in early 2026 showing how Giving Month gifts made a difference.
Can I claim Gift Aid on my donation? (UK)
Yes. If you’re a UK taxpayer, please indicate Gift Aid when you give. This allows us to claim an additional 25p for every £1 you donate at no cost to you.
Is my donation tax-deductible? (USA)
Yes. Gifts given through Torchbearer International are tax-deductible. You’ll receive a receipt for tax purposes.
Is there a minimum gift amount?
Not at all. Every gift matters, whether it’s £1 or £10,000. Give what the Lord leads you to give.
Do you take admin fees out of my donation?
No. Every penny you give goes directly to utilities or student sponsorship. We cover admin costs separately.
