Since 1947, over 150,000 guests or students from around 50 countries have stayed at Capernwray Hall and the comments that we regularly hear are that it has been a very significant – often life-changing – time, as people come to know the Lord Jesus better, or even for the first time! A recent Bible School student said:
“It was beautiful to see that the Word of God was what led us to be transformed. You gave us responsibility in our faith so that when we left we were actually equipped, going out to rely on God.”
Leaving a gift in your will to Capernwray would help us to continue our mission to proclaim the transforming presence of Jesus Christ through biblical teaching and practical training, equipping men and women for service in His Church worldwide.
It is easy to include a gift in your will, you simply need to decide the proportion or amount you wish to give. This suggested wording may be helpful:
I GIVE [x% of my Residuary Estate OR the sum of £x] to The Capernwray Missionary Fellowship of Torchbearers (registered Charity Number 1073139), of Capernwray Hall, Capernwray, Lancs LA6 1AG (“CMFOT”) for its general purposes and I declare that the receipt in writing of CMFOT’s Managing Director or Finance Director or other proper officer for the time being shall be a full and sufficient discharge to my executors.
