Temporary position: Between mid-June 2024 and late-September 2024 (potentially extendable to a permanent position). Between 15 and 37.5 hours per week, mostly on Fridays and Saturdays.
This is an opportunity to work in an international Christian community and to serve in a very practical way. You will help make sure that Capernwray Hall is clean, welcoming and available for our summer holiday guests. You will enjoy being hospitable and enjoy serving people. You will work with a team of permanent and voluntary staff to ensure a whole range of housekeeping tasks are completed.
Your Responsibilities
- Keep bedroom accommodation, bathrooms and public areas clean
- Make beds and change linen on changeover days
- Restock hospitality supplies
- Maintain health and safety standards in use of equipment and chemicals

What we offer and how to apply
Hours of Work: Friday 8.30am – 5pm and Saturday 8.30am – 5pm, Additional days negotiable. Each 8.5 hour day will be a 7.5 hour shift with a paid 20 minute tea break and unpaid 1 hour lunch break.
Rate of pay: £12 per hour
(Between £180 and £450 before tax etc per week).
Additional Benefits: Meals and refreshments are provided while you are working. Staff also benefit from a discount in the extensive Bookshop, free use of the Swimming Pool, Sauna and other sports facilities. Although we have some staff accommodation on-site, it is unlikely that accommodation will be available for this
role.

This role carries an occupational requirement for the applicant to be an active Christian and to subscribe to the ministry’s Statement of Faith.
Under current UK employment legislation you will need to show you have a right to work in the UK. An Enhanced DBS check will also be required for this role.
