Teaching
To Move the World
Incredible news! God longs for you to partner with Him to make a Kingdom impact in the world. But what does that actually look like in practice?
It was the 3rd-century Greek mathematician, Archimedes, who once said: “Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world.”
Archimedes showed that a lever can move very heavy objects with far less effort when positioned on the right point – the fulcrum.
As Christ followers, this principle holds true. To affect Kingdom change in the world around us, we do need to put in effort, but everything we do is reliant on, and connected to, God, the fulcrum of our faith. Operating in His power and following His direction, our actions can carry far greater impact than we could ever achieve on our own.
This week, we’ll explore these principles through inspiring stories in the book of Acts, where ordinary people, empowered by God, saw the Kingdom of God move in the world like never before.
