Unplug to connect

To help everyone fully engage, we ask that during International Youth Weeks phones either be left at home or handed in at arrival.

Guests can access their phone at designated times during the week, and we always have a phone available to call home or if parents need to get in touch.

Most young people don’t miss their phones, they’re too busy having fun and making friends.

More about Alex

Alex loves Jesus and helping people become Christians, loves his family, being outside, people, thinking about the Bible, having adventures, sport, and laughing. He grew up in West Africa and met Jesus while studying in the UK. After working as an evangelist in the UK and Asia, he led Beacon Church in Stafford for a decade and now helps plant new churches. He’s involved in training leaders and empowering church planting through his roles at St Hild Centre and the Yorkshire Baptist Association.
